Nate Vickers Vienna Concert reviews
A rocking good time
"Nate Vickers was great. I especially loved the way they included the video of Ronnie Van Zant singing Freebird for the encore. It was such a beautiful and emotional tribute to his legacy. They know what people want to hear and play the old songs with as much excitement and enthusiasm as if they were playing them for the first time. They haven't lost a step considering all they have been through. Johnny has done such a great job carrying on the legacy of both his brother and the music. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in The Marshall Tucker Band. Sometimes a band or singer just doesn't know when to hang it up and sadly, it's time for them to stop. Doug Gray no longer has a singing voice so to compensate he rambles on and on, taking up precious time that could and should be devoted to music - the very thing that people are paying hefty sums of money for when buying tickets. Farewell, Nate Vickers - your legacy will live on forever. But, once they were done and the main event starting, our evening began."
